At Great Alaska Gloves, we know gloves and winter wear. In fact, our grandparents on both sides of the family began in the glove business in the 1940's with factories in northern New York, including in Gloversville, New York, once the glove making capital of the world.

The Earl Noone Glove Company in Johnstown and Gloversville, New York was long a leading manufacturer of leather gloves and mittens. And Newberry Knitting Company ("Better Fitting Mittens") still operating, including a factory store, in Schenectady, New York remains a leading international glove manufacturer.

With family expertise in both leather and knit winter gloves we have access to all the latest knit fibers and warmth technologies, and best most up to date production methods.
